WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT
Either take a paddle in the Coromandel Harbour as well as other coastline around the greater area surrounding Coromandel Township. During your trip you will discover: rugged rock formations, beaches, off-shore islands, mussel farms, dolphins (certain times) and other marine wildlife plus learn about some of the Coromandel Peninsula history.

All Kayak Trips Include
Friendly Professional Experienced Guides. Quality stable ocean touring double sit-on-top kayaks with rudders. Dry clothing (pants and jacket), booties, paddle gloves, dry bag for your camera and personal effects! Light refreshments (Coromandel Kayak Adventure Expresso on the beach) and most of all loads of fun.
All guides carry a full safety kit, navigation equipment and VHF Marine Radio.

TRIP OPTIONS
Papa Aroha (Double and Bush Island) 3.5 to 4 hours - This tour departs from the Papa Aroha Holiday Park and ventures out to a group of islands situated half way between the outer Gannet Rock and the Happy Jack Islands. The coast-line around these islands offer plenty of volcanic formations to see plus caves and over-hangs. Not to be missed is the gannet colony on Bush Island as well as penguins and other sea birds. Not recommended for the beginner or younger paddler under 12 years of age.
Te Kouma (Rangipukea Island) 3.5 hours - Plenty to see on this tour offering stunning views of Castle Rock. Other features found in the outer Coromandel Harbour are volcanic rock formations and mussel farms with a working mussel barge sometimes in the area. Penguins and dolphins are also known to be encountered at certain times of the year. Suitable for all paddlers and children over 10 years of age.
Whangapoua (New Chums Beach & Kennedy Bay) 3.5 to 4 hours - This is one of Coromandel's gems and is known as one of the worlds best beaches because of it's private tranquil location. Situated on the east coast of the Peninsula the coast line offers some stunning scenery of surrounding bush, hills and Great Mercury Island. During the paddle around to Kennedy Bay you will find volcanic rock formations, caves, beaches and clear waters abundant with marine life. Suitable for all paddlers and children over 10 years of age.
Wyuna Bay (Wanganui Island) 3.5 to 4 hours - Discover one of the many islands located in Coromandel's harbour. Originally named as the location for New Zealands first capital city the island is rich in history. Visit the 'Cook and the Maori' which was the first landing site of Captain James Cook and his ship the Endeavour when first encountering the Hauraki Gulf. Other features found are volcanic rock formations, mussel farms with a working mussel barge sometimes in the area, sea birds and marine wild life. Suitable for all paddlers and children over 10 years of age.
Tours Depart: Morning 9am and Afternoon 3.30pm (Summer). Trips and times can be tailored to suit requirements.
What you need to bring: Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, bottle of water, towel, change of clothes, swimwear (optional), a warm top, snack bars, camera, any personal medications and warm happy smiles.

Individual paddlers may be put together to make a group or added to a group which will also change the overall cost for each paddler.

Kayak trips are available all year round and are subject to weather conditions. Because of this Coromandel Kayak Adventures reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel trips without notice.
Please note: Cancellation of bookings within 24 hours of trip will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Any trips cancelled by Go Kayak Coromandel Limited due to adverse weather conditions will be fully refunded. All prices shown are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
