Self taught artist who started painting from the age of ten years old, using water colours. My passion for art influenced me in my choice of career. After leaving school I went on to become a signwriter and mural artist. Since then I have expanded my skills, encompassing airbrushing, oil painting, sculpture to name a few. Over the years, after much experimenting with many different forms of technique/media and subject matter, I have developed my own style using all the knowledge I have obtained in life and art. My artwork's have received much recognition and for this I have received numerous awards. Most recent 'bronze' winner "painting and drawing" art competition 'mechanic's of water' water festival Putaruru 2006 and 'supreme gold' winner "painting and drawing" art competition 'fresh water' water festival Putaruru 2005. I also have a huge love for the oceans/rivers and creatures living within them. I spend all my spare time on or in the coastal of the Coromandel peninsula, New Zealand, kayaking, fishing and free diving. We are very lucky in New Zealand to have such amazing coastal waters right on our doorstep. My artistic depictions of nature are windows in time, which are channeled through painting. Therefore these works of art are celebrations of the marine and natural environments within New Zealand and the world.
