JIG AND LURE FISHING  Using different types of lures from a kayak, boat or landbased is yet another effective way to catch fish. Not only is it a lot of fun but also offers the angler plenty of challenge because of the required technique associated with using lures. They come in many forms and can be worked manually as well as for trolling which kayaks are ideal for because of the paddle speed most travel at. Lures are beneficial for kayak use because they are clean to store ( much like soft baits) without any possibility of leaching juices attracting predators and store well without the need for keeping chilled like conventional baits. Best of all though is the results with lures out fishing softbaits and other techniques on certain days. Wicked for all types of predatory fish offering the angler a challenge and a are lot of fun.
